文摘内容 In this article, the growth dynamics of Davidia involucrata population was studied in Sanjiang, Wolong Natural Reserve. The seed dispersal range was limited in a circle of 0 - 10 meters away from the mother tree, which changed with the terrain where the trees grow. The survival percent of seedlings germinated from seeds was very low, and few seeds germinated in2002. About 3 percent of seeds germinated in 2001 grew up and became seedlings. Considering the various diameter classes of Davidia involucrata forests, only a small part of trees was germinated from seeds, most of trees were sprouted from the base of the fall trees. In natural, the regeneration of Davidia involucrata population was difficult and had difficulty to spread. The seedlings and juvenile trees were so lack that the Davidia involucrata population has been declining. We should devote major efforts to protecting them。
